Katie Price has been targeted by gangsters who have plotted to kidnap her, according to a newspaper report.
It is claimed the ex model was visited by police officers on Thursday who told her she had been singled out by a gang from Essex.
Speaking to The Sun, Katie noted the “horrible” discovery of the threat means she is on a high security alert.
“Their intelligence guys have tracked down this gang in Romford, Essex, and have them under surveillance,” she claimed about the police’s operations.

The mum-of-five continued: “I have been upgraded to a ‘red’ security which means I’m basically just a touch of a button away from contacting them in an emergency, if someone attacks me.
“Obviously it’s not a nice thought and has been quite stressful.”
The terrifying warning does not mark the first time Katie and her family have encountered threats to their safety.
Just last year Harvey, her eldest son, was reportedly subjected to similar kidnap concerns.

Katie also endured a horrific carjacking incident in South Africa in 2018.
Reports claimed Princess and second eldest son Junior – whose dad is Peter Andre – were among those “hijacked at gun point” during the ordeal in which cash, jewellery, laptops and camera equipment worth tens of thousands of pounds were said to have been taken.
In response, Katie beefed up her security earlier this summer by taking on a new guard dog.
“I will feel safer and so will Princess as she still suffers from the hijack at gun point we had in South Africa when filming last year,” Katie was reported to have said about the latest addition to the family, an Alsatian called Blade, at the time.
