Katie Price has vowed she’ll never publicly identify the celebrity who raped her – but fans have urged the star to report him to police.
The 39-year-old appeared on Friday’s This Morning where she was asked about the recent Harvey Weinstein scandal and her own experience of being sexually assaulted.
“I’ve been raped by a celebrity and I’ve never said a word [about who it is] because I don’t want to go down that road,” she said.

“It happened years ago and time goes on and I just think it’s best to stay out of it.”
When Ruth Langsford asked if Katie was not concerned the celebrity could do it to someone else, she replied: “There’s a reason why I can’t say who it is. I’ll say off-air and you’ll go, ‘Right I see’… but women shouldn’t shy away, they should report it. But I was in a difficult situation.”
Some viewers, however, urged Katie to report the man – no matter how much time has passed.
Others pointed out Katie was advising victims of sexual assault to report it to the authorities, but hadn’t done it herself.
Some also thought Katie had a responsibility to report her attacker, especially as she was serving as This Morning’s agony aunt on Friday.
Katie, 39, first spoke out about the horrifying ordeal in 2009 after her then-husband Alex Reid was accused of taking part in a film that glorified rape.
She publicly defended Alex by writing in her OK! magazine column: “I was appalled by the headlines claiming he’s taken part in something which glorifies rape. This is completely untrue.
“Rape is a subject very close to my own heart. I was raped when I was younger, more than once. Needless to say, I’d never be associated with anything or anyone so sick.”
In her autobiography, Love, Lipstick and Lies, she explained further why she’d chosen to not identity the celebrity in public.
The mum-of-five explained in the book that she felt under “intense pressure to name my attacker” and when she chose not to, it led some people to “pour scorn on my story and basically accuse me of making it up”.
She added: “Victims of sexual abuse deal with it in different ways. My way of dealing with what happened to me was to lock it away and speak to very few people about the details. I believe it has driven me on to make a success of myself.
“I made a personal decision that I was not going to report the attack to the police – partly because I did not think I would be believed, and partly because I did not want to have to relive the experience over and over throughout a police investigation and trial.”
Katie said: “My way of dealing with events would not be right for everyone and I understand the counter-arguments.
“Having made that decision years ago, I feel it would be wrong for me to name my attacker now. I believe that is the victim’s choice.”
A furious Katie phoned into The Wright Stuff after her claim about being raped by a celebrity dominated the headlines in 2009.
She hit back at vile accusations she was attention-seeking by saying: “I haven’t just come out and said I was raped. I was sticking up for Alex.
“I think it is so out of order when people say I am trying to do it for sympathy. That is so wrong.”

She added: “I would never do that and I will never name the person that did it. That’s not for me to do. I am the victim.
“I am absolutely livid. I mentioned it in my column and people have gone on and on about it.”
As for why she didn’t report it to the police at the time, she said: “It happened absolutely years ago and like anyone it’s just a hard thing to do. It’s been there and done now so what do you do.
“If something happens you should go to the police. Maybe I should have done… What do you do? It’s a difficult situation. I just don’t want to bring it all up and it has been brought up.”
