Katie Price has hit back at critics who slammed her for filming her “knackered” son Harvey.
The mum-of-five, 40, shared a video of Harvey, 16, appearing to fall asleep in the car after an appearance on Victoria Derbyshire’s BBC Two show, where Katie admitted she’s considering putting Harvey into residential care during the week as he’s become a “danger to himself”.
In the clip, Katie said: “My baby bear is knackered after today, aren’t you?” to which Harvey replied: “Yes mummy.”

Katie continued: “Mummy give you a big cuddle when we get in, yeah?”
Harvey replied: “Course. I’m starving,” to which Katie said: “You’re starving? What would you like? Carbonara? Woohoo!”
While many fans gushed over Harvey – who is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome – and praised Katie for being a “great mum”, others criticised the star for filming him while he was “knackered” and her decision to consider putting Harvey into care.
One person said: “Imagine your mum in your face with the flash on taking a video of you when you’re tired and trying to sleep,” while another wrote: “If I was Harvey I’d have taken that phone off her and chucked it out the window.”
A third commented: “Let the boy sleep!”
However, responding to the critics, Katie said: “I’ve never exposed Harvey kicking off and when his behaviour is very challenging so if people knew how difficult it is you would certainly shut your mouth and think twice judging me!
“Harvey is my total life and NOBODY knows how much I love him and what amazing bond we have!”
She continued: “It takes a special person to care and look after a person with complex needs so frankly I suggest go and help in a care home kids school with complex needs elderly and then comment what’s its like.”
It came hours after Katie appeared on the Victoria Derbyshire show to talk about caring for Harvey.
The former glamour model said Harvey “smashed windows, eight iPads and lots of TVs”.
She continued: “It’s got to the stage now, he’s a danger to himself, for the first time ever I might have to have him in residential home Monday to Friday.
“He knows if he kicks off in the morning the driver won’t take him and he’s missing out on his education. He just wants to be with me all the time.
“I’ve never had respite. I don’t have a carer. I do it all myself. But I hate it because he is my life.”
‘I don’t think carers get enough respect, I’ve never had respite,’ says @KatiePrice.

She added: “I’ve got to do what’s best for him and it won’t be forever. When he’s smashing things and the kids are scared because he’s big I’ve got to do it for him.
“If there is anyone out there who could give me advice and let me know how they cope when they go residential.”
