Katie Price has opened up about the lead up to and her experience in rehab.
The celebrity, 42, entered The Priory rehabilitation centre back in January.
Taking to her official YouTube channel, the mum-of-five went into great detail of her struggles with mental health.
Here, she admits that prior to entering rehab, she had ‘hit rock bottom’.
She even said she struggled with ‘suicidal thoughts’.
What did Katie Price say about rehab?
Katie told her viewers: “I had thoughts of killing myself. That’s how bad it got for me but you guys don’t know that because Katie Price always puts on a brave face.”
She explained that she was greatly struggling with mental health issues while serving as a panelist on ITV’s Loose Women.

Katie continued: “Believe it or not Loose Women was my breaking point. I don’t know how on earth I used to do it when really I was ill, I was suffering
“Now I’d love to do Loose Women or shows because I’m such a different person and it’s all from being in The Priory.”
What happened to Katie?
She also said she’d built up ‘a wall’ to protect herself: “I built up the wall and it wasn’t healthy….it got to the point where behind that wall me and my emotions would build up and build up – to the point where my head just wanted to cut off.”
The star also lamented about her exes ‘using her’: “I just couldn’t cope. Then most of my exes have tried to make money off of me. Take me to court. Use me – sell stories on me.”

Elsewhere, she spoke about self-medicating and that she felt she could trust absolutely no one.
She explained: “I wanted to keep everything in and couldn’t talk. I just wanted to sleep. I was weak… and I let a drug get the better of me and I let people use me.
Is Katie OK now?
“Then I had a wakeup call… if I don’t get help I’m going to die or self destruct. l had lost me, the kids had lost their mum, nobody believed in me anymore.”
Towards the end of the video, she says she is stronger now and ready to reemerge as the Katie Price everyone once knew.
She also thanked her five children and her new love Carl Woods for helping her get through this tough year:
“I hit rock bottom but I’m now back up, now you watch me grow, I’m the powerful independent Katie Price I was years ago.
“I’m in a happy place, very happy, very strong, in a very very strong relationship, I’m in love, and have found my future, so watch this space.”
