Katie Price has paid a special tribute to her mum Amy on Mother’s Day as it’s revealed she has offered her one of her lungs in a desperate bid to keep her alive.
Taking to Instagram, Katie has shared two new pictures of terminally ill Amy, captioning one of them: “Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mum and all you lovely mums out there.”
The other snapshot shows Katie and Amy enjoying a cocktail together while on holiday. Katie used six red heart emojis to caption this one.
Katie has made no secret of the fact she is struggling to come to terms with Amy’s diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), but it’s now come to light that she has offered her mum the greatest gift of all – one of her lungs.

But speaking to the Sunday Mirror, Amy revealed that she’s turned down her daughter’s incredible offer as Katie has five of her own children to look after.
“I said no, you’re not going to do that. You’ve got to think if, by any chance, it went wrong, who’s going to look after your kids?” Amy told the newspaper.
“You’ve got to think about your children, not me, and what’s going to happen to them.”
Amy added: “Of course, I was so touched at her offer. But Kate is my child, not the other way around. I have to protect her.
“So there will be no lung transplant from Kate. I can’t allow it.”
Next month, Katie will be competing in the London Marathon as part of a fundraising drive for the British Lung Foundation, a charity that has supported Amy since her diagnosis last year.
The disease Amy is suffering from causes fibrosis, or scarring of the lungs, which makes them stiffer, so it is difficult to breathe.
There is no known cure and it worsens over time.
In December, TV presenter and former Celebrity Big Brother star Keith Chegwin passed away following a battle with IPF.
