Katie Price is well known for being an animal lover, and was hit with a tragedy last month when one of her beloved horses passed away after being hit by a car.
So her Instagram followers were stumped this afternoon when she posted an update that appeared to be out of character for her.
The image featured two Sphinx cats, which Katie was apparently trying to sell for £1300 each.
The picture was captioned: “Hey unfortunately I’m having to sell my cats and find good home £1300 each they are boys and been spade our dogs just don’t like them.”
Straight away, she was hit by a wave of criticism from her fans and followers, with one writing: “So tasteless to advertise this on your social media. What I don’t understand is why you can’t just let friends or relatives take care of these cats for you?”
Another wrote: “Pets can not be given for free to ensure they have a good home… but selling them on social media?? You lost a loyal follower today.”
However, others weren’t so critical, with one writing: “Feel your pain my dogs exactly the same and I adore cats… good luck!”

Another commented: “Worst thing you could do is give an animal away for free because god knows where they would end up.”
Some followers however smelled a rat, and suspected that the work wasn’t Katie’s at all – and that it was so out of character, it was more likely her account had been HACKED.
The scandal comes after Katie had posted several steamy images from a recent photoshoot, which was shot with a stylish black-and-white filter.
Katie captioned the most recent shot “Love it” and asked her fans on other images if they liked the new look.
