The Sun claimed that Kelvin will join the likes of Love Island’s Jack Fincham, adding: “Bosses have chosen a very eclectic mix of stars.”

This year will be the third series of The Real Full Monty, which sees celebrities strip off to raise awareness for prostate cancer.

Previous contestants have included former TOWIE star James Argent, This Morning’s Jeff Brazier, former EastEnders star John Partridge, Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden, Pointless’ Alexander Armstrong and TV chef Ainsley Harriot.

Kelvin’s new job comes after he left Emmerdale in 2016 when his character Andy Sugden went on the run.

In an interview with What’s On TV last year, Kelvin revealed there are no immediate plans for his return, saying: “I honestly don’t know [if I’ll ever return].

“Andy wasn’t killed off, so technically I could return. But I genuinely haven’t given it much thought.”

He added: “The two years since I left have flown by and, in many respects, my leaving still feels very fresh. I must get asked a couple of times a day when I’m going back. While Emmerdale is in my DNA, it’s exciting doing different things.”
