Trump Towers is a 58-story mixed-use skyscraper that is located at 725 Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. FYI, it was where NBC show The Apprentice was filmed. It was designed by Der Scutt of Swanke Hayden Connell and developed by Trump himself.
When it was built in 1980, he used air rights from the Tiffany’s flagship store next door, including the atrium, which was designed as a “public space” under the city codes at the time, just so he was able to build a taller tower. The atrium has a 60-foot waterfall, shops, cafes, and a pedestrian bridge that crosses the waterfall’s pool! Forbes Magazine valued the tower at $318 million in 2013.
Fun fact: Cristiano Ronaldo has an $18.5 million Trump Tower pad decked in veined marble and wood paneling. Before Ronaldo moved in it belonged to Italian real estate mogul Alessandro Proto.
