Kylie’s love life has had almost as much scrutiny as Jennifer Aniston’s, with countless front pages dedicated to her romantic ups and downs.
But in an emotional new interview, Kylie has discussed something that tends to go hand-in-hand with a long-term partner – having children.
At the age of 49 – she’ll celebrate her 50th birthday in May – Kylie believes her chance to have children has passed, and she has described her “sadness” at having missed out.
Speaking to the Sunday Times Magazine, Kylie said: “Of course I wonder what it would be like…to be a mother and look into your child’s eyes…but your destiny is your destiny.

“It would be a lie to say there’s not a bit of sadness there, but I don’t get caught up in it. I can’t. I mean, what can I do?”
Looking on the bright side, Kylie suggested when she did meet Mr. Right, it’s likely she would be able to experience some kind of motherhood – as a stepmother.
She said: “There’s a high probability that if/when I meet someone they will have children anyway. So I could imagine being a stepmum.”
Kylie’s sister Dannii gave birth to a son, Ethan, in July 2010 and she’s also an auntie to her brother’s son Charles, 11.
Kylie dated her Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan at the tender age of 21, before famously hooking up with bad-boy INXS rocker Michael Hutchence.
Kylie’s new record – her fourteenth studio album – is called Golden and is released in April.
It’s a new sound for the iconic singer as the album was recorded in Nashville and sees her experimenting with country music.

She recently explained to Rolling Stone: “At the beginning of last year, when I gently meandered back into the studio, one of my longtime producers said, ‘if you can think of some sort of country angle or influence or feel…’
“For better or worse, I’m always happy to try anything. So I immediately said, ‘Sure,’ followed by ‘but what do you mean?’ Country has never played a part in my work.”
Whatever it sounds like, we’re sure it’ll be a hit – it’s Kylie, after all!
