Kym Marsh has insisted she won’t be called “Grandma” or “Nanny” once her daughter Emilie has her first child, instead she has decided she will be nicknamed “Lolly”.
The 42-year-old star revealed her plans for the unusual moniker during an interview with Emilie, 21, on This Morning today (4 January).
She said she is “excited” about becoming a grandparent but she doesn’t fancy the ‘granny’ label just yet…
She said: “I’m really excited about being a grandparent but there’s no way I’m being a grandma, or granny, nanny or any of those things. We looked on a website and found alternative names and I’m going to be Lolly.”
This Morning co-host Eamonn Holmes then added: “Lolly – you certainly will be the most glamorous granny out there. A luscious Lolly.”
The Coronation Street actress replied: “Luscious Lolly? I’m going with that one.”
She joked she “forced” her daughter to undergo a pregnancy test after Emilie let slip that she was late and had a stomach ache while she was casually doing her mum’s nails one day.
Kym – who gave birth to Emilie’s brother David Cunliffe, 23, when she was 19 – explained: “She said, ‘I have a bit of a tummy ache but I’m late,’ and I was like, ‘How late?’ And she was like, ‘Well, so many weeks.’
“And I was like, ‘Emilie, do you not think we should do a test?’ But she was scared. So I kind of forced her.”

Aspiring singer Emilie, who once auditioned for The Voice, added: “We did this test and immediately she looked at my belly and went, ‘Hello.’ ”
Emilie and her boyfriend were initially hit with “shock” to discover she was expecting, but she said she now cannot wait for her new arrival.
Kym also has younger daughter Polly, seven, who she has with her ex-partner Jamie Lomas. So little Polly will soon be an Auntie!

Kym broke the news of Emilie’s pregnancy in their joint OK! magazine interview in November, saying she was “over the moon” to become a “young grandmother”.
You’re certainly going to be one youthful-looking ‘Lolly’, Kym!
