Kym Marsh’s daughter is expecting a baby boy, it has been announced.
The Coronation Street star – who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV soap – revealed two weeks ago she is to become a granny for the first time after her 21-year-old daughter Emilie Cunliffe got pregnant, and the soap actress has confirmed her grandchild’s gender.
She wrote on Twitter: “IT’S A BOY!!!!!! (sic)”

Kym found out the news at a gender reveal party, in which a cannon fired out blue confetti to signify Emilie is expecting a baby boy – and the Corrie star had predicted her daughter would have a son.

She said: “Emilie is just days away from finding out the baby’s gender and we’re all on tenterhooks waiting to find out.
“We’re hosting a gender reveal party for all of our family and some of her friends. She’s going to get a cannon filled with pink or blue confetti that we’ll let off in the garden.
“My money is on a boy but I’ll be sure to let you know what she’s having next week!”
Kym and Emilie got teary recently when they attended her first antenatal appointment, and she is glad her daughter is happy for her to come along to the meetings.

Writing in her latest OK! magazine column, she added: “I went with Emilie to her first antenatal appointment and we heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time.
“It was a really magical experience and bought a tear to both of our eyes.
“I’m so glad that she’s wanted me with her at all her appointments, it means so much to me to be with her every step of the way.”
