In the latest Liam Payne news, the performer was reportedly refused treatment from his psychiatrist just weeks before his death and warned that his behaviour could lead to deadly consequences.
Liam died after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina in October. An investigation has since been launched to unravel the circumstances around the singer’s demise.

Argentinian officials are said to be “undetermined” regarding the events that led to Liam’s shock death. Earlier this week, reports claimed that local law enforcement had been probing five individuals after two more hotel workers were put under investigation.
Those under investigation have since been named as Liam’s friend Roger Nores, Braian Paiz, hotel employee. Ezequiel Pereyra, hotel security Esteban Reynaldo Grassi and manager Gilda Martin.
New reports now claim that Nores was sent a note by Liam’s neuropsychiatrist, who claimed they could no longer treat the star, just weeks before his death.
Liam Payne’s psychiatrist refused to treat him
As reported by The Mirror, Liam’s neuropsychiatrist allegedly advised that Liam’s treatment was no longer able to continue.
She is also said to have warned that mixing alcohol with antidepressants could have fatal consequences.
The NHS website advises that those taking antidepressants should be wary of the impact of drinking alcohol.
“You’re less likely to experience unpleasant or unpredictable effects if you drink alcohol while taking an SSRI or a serotonin-noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressant, but avoiding alcohol is often still recommended.”
Antidepressants including tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are also said to cause side effects like drowsiness.
Liam Payne’s bid to get sober
Reports in wake of Liam’s death also claim he had signed up for the £5,000-a-night The Priory in London and had started a detox programme in a bid to get sober.
A source told The Sun: “Family and management did everything they could. Liam was loved, adored and incredibly talented.”
An autopsy ruled that Liam had died instantly after his fall. The fall is said to have caused “multiple traumatic injuries” and led to “internal and external haemorrhage”.
A press release from the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office claimed Liam Payne’s toxicological results showed traces of “alcohol, cocaine and prescription antidepressants” in his system at the time of his death.
Liam Payne was laid to rest on November 20.
