Liam Payne and ‘missus’ Cheryl are preparing to spend their first Christmas together as parents.
The couple, who welcomed baby Bear in the spring, are naturally excited about spending the special time as a little family.
But while most new mums and dads fall into the temptation of spoiling their little ones on the landmark occasion, the former 1D-er is keeping his feet on the ground.
He has claimed that they won’t be going all out buying loads of expensive gifts, after revealing a piece of genius advice he’s been given.
“It’s my first Christmas as a dad,” he told metro.co.uk. “Best advice I’ve been given?
“Just buy wrapping paper, and make it really, really shiny, because they’ll only be interested in that.”

Liam has been on the road promoting his solo material over the past few months and has found being away from his son and love of his life tough – especially in the magical run-up to Yuletide.
“I’ve been away for a little while, I’ve only seen pictures and stuff so that’s been the most difficult thing about touring,” he continued, at the Jingle Bell Ball.
So, anyway, we know what Bear will be getting for Christmas.
Now perhaps Chez and Liam will make our wish come true and share a pic of their nine-month-old cherub.
