Liam Payne has spoken of his son Bear’s birth, saying it was the “proudest moment” of his life.
The former One Direction singer welcomed baby Bear a year ago with girlfriend Cheryl, and he said he can still remember every moment of that amazing day.
“Seeing the birth of your child is the proudest moment you can ever have,” he told Popbuzz.
“It’s also the craziest and mixed emotions you’ll ever feel, it was just insane.”
Speaking of 34-year-old Cheryl’s labour, he added “I can remember every minute of it. A lot of (my memories) are blurry but that one is straight in there.”
The Stripped Down singer, 24, added that it was a truly precious moment when he got to hold his son for the first time.
“I remember just holding him and feeding him some milk and he’d just been born,” he recalled.
That tiny newborn is now long gone though, as Liam said Bear is “massive now” and everyone who comes over “says your child is massive”.

He said Bear isn’t yet walking, claiming it’s because his larger size is making it more difficult for him to become mobile.
Liam is currently busy promoting his forthcoming album which has taken him all over the world.
In recent months, he’s been to Japan, Dubai and Germany.
His hectic schedule meant he jetted away just after Bear’s first birthday. He posted a snap on Instagram on the day paying tribute to his son and sharing a sweet image of his tiny hand clutching his.
Liam also had time to fit in a family holiday, which was reported to have been in the Maldives.
Cheryl dismissed claims it was a “make or break” holiday for the couple, who were dogged with rumours they were to split at the start of the year.

“Now… off on our holiday. And the only thing we’re making are memories. And breaking is our healthy eating,” she wrote on Twitter.
Hope you had a good time, guys!
