Liam Payne has poked fun at claims his girlfriend Cheryl only hung out with Tom Hardy this week to make him jealous.
There’s been a story doing the rounds that Cheryl, 34, asked Hollywood actor Tom, 40, for a picture at a recent Prince’s Trust charity gala as she knew it would “make Liam speechless”.
To be fair, hanging out with Tom Hardy would make anyone speechless, surely?!

Of course, given that there have been rumours swirling recently about the state of Liam and Cheryl’s relationship, the whole Cheryl ‘cosies’ up to movie star thing made headlines.
So, was Liam jealous?
The former One Direction singer took the reports in good humour as he posted a funny reply on Twitter on Friday, saying: “I am jealous tbh I want to cozy up to Tom hardy too what can I say (sic).”
Fair enough!
Fans loved Liam’s sassy response to the stories, with one saying: “Liam is so funny. I could literally laugh my whole life at his humour. Cheryl made a good choice with her boyfriend.”
Another said: “Your sense of humour is priceless!”
Liam and Cheryl haven’t had the easiest time lately, fending off reports that their relationship is on the rocks because of spending so much time apart.
While Liam has been jet-setting around the world promoting his solo career, Cheryl has been in the UK working on new music and looking after the couple’s son Bear, nearly one.
Cheryl hit out at ‘split’ rumours just last month, clearly fed up that even a loved up appearance with Liam at the BRIT Awards hadn’t silenced their critics, and instead they’d been accused of looking happy as part of a publicity stunt.

She tweeted: “Oh stop, no one cares who’s been speculatively arguing or not in their relationships. Use your platform to put something productive in your columns. I opened a centre this week that could help thousands of youth!!!!
“Oh and your ‘stunt’ theories are just ludicrous and a bit weird.”
Her reference to opening a centre was about launching her Cheryl’s Trust centre in Newcastle last month, which aims to help local youths find employment and learn new skills.
She was thanked by Prince Charles in a speech this week for raising £1 million for his Prince’s Trust.
Pretty impressive, right?
