Lily Allen discusses Christmas amid David Harbour split rumours

In a recent episode of Miss Me? Lily’s co-host Miquita Oliver quizzed the star on how she would be spending Christmas.

Lily explained that she would be jetting off from the US to London and then to Nairobi, Kenya, during the holidays. She also hinted at a last minute change of plans during the festive period after “completely forgetting” she had tickets to see The Nutcracker at the Lincoln Centre with her family.

Miquita asked: “Have you done – ’cause now you have your own family – do you do Christmas dinner on your own?”

Lily replied: “I haven’t done that yet. Maybe once. I love cooking. I love prep – it’s very therapeutic.”

Discussing her change in Christmas plans, she explained: “I had to text my cousin because she is there with my children.

“Every year I buy four tickets to go and see the Nutcracker at the Lincoln Centre and I have completely forgotten that I have these tickets so they’re going to have to go without me tonight.”

Lily also described some of the traditions she shares with her two daughters, Ethel and Marnie.

“We go to Rockefeller [Center] and go and look at the Christmas tree, do ice skating, go to FAO Schwartz, buy some toys… They’re kinda growing out of toys now although Jellycats are quite big on the list.”

It comes amid reports that suggest Lily and David have gone their separate ways after four years of marriage.

The singer has reportedly returned to the celebrity dating app Raya, where she is said to have originally met David.

According to MailOnline, Lily’s Raya bio said: “Looking for someone to start couples therapy with.” Other reports claim her profile has since been taken down

Lily Allen opens up about mental health

The 39-year-old singer revealed in 2023 that she was diagnosed with adult ADHD – a mental health condition that causes impulsivity, inattention and mood swings among other symptoms.

She has previously admitted that her body and mind aren’t “connected”, further contributing to health issues.

While speaking to her friend Miquita about therapy, Lily opened up about the “tough” time she’s had the past few months.

She said her “eating has become a real issue” as she tried to navigate the difficult time.

The singer said: “My therapist and I talk about it and she says: ‘How long has this been going on?’ And I said: ‘Well, about three years really’. And she’s like: ‘Okay, why haven’t you mentioned it before?”

She added: “And it’s not because I’m lying about it. It’s just because it hasn’t seemed at the top of the list of important things that I need to talk about, but obviously it is.”

I’m not avoiding food, I’m just not thinking about it because I’m so in my head.

Lily said she is not really good at talking “about the bigger picture” and suspects her ADHD’s role in it. She said: “I wonder if that’s something to do with my ADHD as well, that I don’t link a lot of things.”

The Smile star believes her body and mind are “two very separate things”. She spends a lot of time in her head and doesn’t spend a lot of things thinking about her body.

Singer admits she’s ‘not eating’

Lily also revealed on the podcast: “I’m really not in a great place mentally at the moment, and I’m not eating. But I’m not hungry. I obviously am hungry, but my body and brain are so disconnected from each other that my body… the messages of hunger are not going from my body to my brain.”

She clarified that she isn’t deliberately stopping herself from eating. However, the thought of feeding her body isn’t always on her mind.

She explained: “I’m not avoiding food, I’m just not thinking about it because I’m so in my head. My body’s, like, a few steps behind me.”

‘I don’t get hungry’

Lily revealed the shocking details about her health months after finding herself in the healthiest state she’s ever been.

However, addressing her drastic weight loss and the criticism surrounding it, Lily admitted to being “bad with food”.

She shared on the Off Menu podcast: “I’m actually really bad… I don’t really get hungry. It’s when I see food I’m like, oh yeah, I should eat.

“I think basically my stomach goes quite long distances without eating then it has a little bit and it goes yes. I love food and I love eating, but I’m just not very good at remembering to do things.”

Fans react

Worried fans of Lily’s took to X and Instagram to share their concerns about her well-being.

One fan said: “I hope she gets the help she needs.”

Another wrote: “Sending love Lil. Please take care of your health.”

A third fan said: “I’ve had struggles eating and not been in a great place. Hope she gets all the help she deserves.”
