Lily Allen’s new year hasn’t started off in quite the way she hoped.
The outspoken singer found herself caught up in an online spat about migrants and ended up revealing something very private about her life that left her fans in shock!
Lily, who made headlines last year when she “apologised” on behalf of the UK during a visit to a migrant camp in Calais, clashed with former English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson over a newspaper article, which identified the killer of the 39 people in a Turkish nightclub as a “migrant”.
An angry Lily criticised the headline for referring to the killer a “migrant” when his name and nationality at the time was not officially confirmed.

Mouthy Robinson went in on the attack and branded the singer a “f****** idiot” and accused her of “virtue signalling”.
It wasn’t long before the discussion became an online debate, but that didn’t top Lily and Robinson from seeing each other barbed Tweets.
However, during a discussion about child sex exploitation, Robinson asked if she had ever “met or spoke to a victim of the Muslim grooming gangs”.
Lily replied, “I’ve only ever been sexually assaulted by white males so I feel slightly biased.”
Twitter users were stunned by Lily’s shocking admission and was praised by some for her amazing honest!
However, some online naysayers hit back at her and accused her of racism!

One critic seethed: “If your trying to educate people that a race isn’t at fault for everything why would you do that by blaming another race? @lilyallen #Racist (sic).”
Lily, as you’d expect, didn’t take the comment lying down, and hit back with a terse, “Trying to point out that sexual deviants and murderers operate within every culture, regardless of religious persuasion”.
She also explained to those who attacked her: “People need to realise the reality of how white males and their attitudes towards our laws continue to threaten our values and communities.”
Robinson hit back accusing her of living in an “ivory tower” and “prepared to hear why working class people are angry and afraid”.
However, others jumped to her defence with one Tweeter highlighting some of the abuse she had received online.
