Linda Nolan health update

In a new column for The Mirror, Linda revealed that she has contracted Covid-19.

In the column, Linda confessed that it was the first time that she’d caught Covid, and was beginning to think she was “immune” to it.

“It never crossed my mind that it could be Covid. I was putting extra salt and sauce on my food for days, I should have guessed. When you have the other big C to contend with, you tend to put everything down to that. It’s a completely unfunny mask. But then came the sore throat, an extra dose of fatigue, and what we like to call (because we can get a bit dark), the graveyard cough, and someone suggested I might want to do a test,” she said.

Linda then continued, confessing that the whole ordeal has been quite “frightening”.

“It’s been pretty frightening at times, actually. So far I’ve not been too bad, and I know I’m so lucky, but I’ve spent a lot of time in bed – especially coughing at night – worrying I might end up in hospital,” she said.

“During the pandemic when Anne and I were having chemo together, her consultant told her getting Covid would kill her (lovely bedside manner, that one). So I’ve always been scared of it. I also had to cancel my bloods and treatment this week because I’m in no fit state, and you can’t take this into a chemo ward,” she then continued.

The star then went on to say that isolating has allowed her to binge on a load of shows – which are all medical dramas.

Linda’s delight over ‘being alive’

Last week, during her column for The Mirror, Linda opened up about being alive.

“The fact I am alive this week means I will get to meet my new great-niece, who was born on Wednesday,” she wrote.

“More weeks will mean more lunches with my school friends, more bingo with my sisters. Maybe even wins,” she then added.
