It’s the reveal we’ve all been waiting for since we saw Linda disappear up to Watford to look after her ‘sick mum’ – only to discover Elaine is actually alive, well and hosting lock ins.

The speculation as to what Mrs Carter has been hiding from her husband Mick has been rife. Many people thought she’d been having an affair with Woody Woodward, who’s engaged to Whitney.
Others reckoned she could be preggers again after one of her quick visits back to Walford.
There were a few mad theories floating around too, like she had been abducted by aliens, or had discovered she was secretly related to Mick.
The truth came out tonight when a tearful Linda had a heart to heart with Jack Branning – and told him she’d had cancer.
And let’s just say the Albert Square fandom were confused and unimpressed by her shocking confession. Many wondered just why she wouldn’t have told Mick she was so sick, when in her own words, ‘a year ago, we would have told each other everything.’
Others seemed to think that ‘at home’ and ‘with your family’ would be the exact place you’d want to be if you had cancer.
And some folks just thought it was a terrible storyline – and why she’d confide in Jack, but not Sharon.
But, not everyone was hating on the big reveal. Lots of viewers took to Twitter to express how sad they were for the popular character, played by Kellie Bright.
There was also a lot of hope that, if she tells Mick the truth, it could put their marriage back on track. Of course, it could also have the opposite effect and send him into a rage. Mick’s so hard to read these days.
Linda didn’t reveal her reasons behind not telling her family. Could it be because she didn’t want to add anymore stress to the family when they were already at breaking point with money woes and Nancy’s car crash?

Whatever her reasons, we can’t wait to see Mick’s reaction when he finds out. It’ll be more explosive than that gas pipe!
