Lisa Armstrong reacts to claim Ant McPartlin has ‘rubbed his new romance in her face’

Her fans are backing her the make-up artist

Lisa Armstrong may have been stung by ex Ant McPartlin’s recent tell-all interview, but she’s welcomed the continued support of her fans.

Despite Ant’s apparent dig towards Lisa, 42, for using social media to communicate her feelings about their split, she liked a tweet last night that claimed the TV star has ‘rubbed her face’ in his new romance.

In response to a tweet backing Ant for admitting he wasn’t okay, one fan wrote: “I think the way he’s treated his ex @lisaAmakeup is so cruel and wrong!

“Everyone deserves to move on but he’s rubbed her face in it! No wonder she’s angry! What woman wouldn’t!!!”

Make-up artist Lisa appeared to agree with that view by quickly liking the tweet – her latest reaction to Ant’s bombshell interview with The Sun last week.

The Britain’s Got Talent host revealed how his new girlfriend, Anne-Marie Corbett, was the “fundamental reason” for his ability to bounce back from a turbulent battle with substance abuse that eventually saw him arrested for drink driving.

But he also appeared to take a dig at Lisa for her Twitter presence when he told the paper: “I’ve not been on social media or put any of my personal views out there. It’s not my style.

“She can live her life how she wants to live her life and say what she wants but I prefer to keep that private.”

Lisa also recently liked a tweet from a fan who backed for supporting Ant “through 11 years of marriage”.

Another message she liked read: “We have your back girl, I have nothing against him at all but Christ this woman had his back for years.”

The BGT host delivered an emotional speech on Tuesday when he bagged the Best Presenter National Television Award alongside Dec Donnelly.

Though thousands of fans were delighted to see Ant back on TV, there were some who felt he should not be accepting a gong since he missed out on a number of Saturday Night Takeaway episodes last year and dropped out of I’m A Celebrity.

Among those to criticise Ant’s NTA speech was Piers Morgan. The Good Morning Britain host admitted feeling “annoyed” at the win.
