Lisa Faulkner has revealed more details of her new role in EastEnders.
It turns out she’s not just popping in for a short stint, she’s set to be in the soap for at least six months. That gives her plenty of time to ruffle a few feathers then.
The actress-turned-TV-cook appeared on Sunday Brunch and told how instead of the initial eight-week run she thought she was doing, she’s actually been handed a six month contract.

Speaking about her new role, she told presenters Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer:
“I thought it was eight weeks and then they said, ‘Oh actually it’s six months at first’.”
Despite the fact Lisa has acted for years, the former Spooks star has more recently been known for her cooking.
She won Celebrity MasterChef in 2010 and has since done many food shows and written several cook books. She’s in a relationship with Celebrity MasterChef judge John Torode.
But now she’s returning to acting and admitted she was scared about joining the Walford-set soap.
“I’ve literally been cooking and loving it. I have to say it’s amazing to be back acting. Going into The Vic is terrifying.”
Lisa is set to play businesswoman Fi Browning, who’s been described as “stylish and sophisticated”.

Executive producer Sean O’Connor has said of her arrival:
“Fi Browning is something of a departure for EastEnders; a no-nonsense but sophisticated businesswoman with strength and vulnerability.
“But does she have an agenda? And who – or what – has she set her sights on?”
Rumours are rife she’ll be involved in the Max Branning revenge storyline as that seems to be all about business and taking over Walford.
Is she connected to Max’s mysterious associate known only as ‘The Chairman’? And will she fall for that famous Branning charm and end up in bed with the Square’s resident womaniser?
