Lisa Riley has been left heartbroken after her beloved grandad Sam passed away in the early hours of this morning.
The Loose Women panellist shared a photo of her holding Sam’s hand as she paid tribute to her grandad.
Lisa, 41, told her fans she was “holding his hand” as Sam took his “final breath”.

In the post the actress wrote: “May your prayers stay strong tonight.
“My beloved Grandad Sam fell asleep, so peacefully,12.11am….no pain, just me, in the room with him.
“I was holding his hand and stroking his arm as he slowly joined my beloved gran in heaven, and all the angels….taking his final breath….with just me by his side….knowing he was safe to fly…..he waited for me to get back from London….to share stories of old.
“My dear strong Grandad Sam, you made me proud, and I made you proud.
“I love you….sleep well. We love you, and your inner strength lives on is us all. REST IN PEACE 💛💛💛🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 the power of touch.”
Fans rushed to show their support for the star.

In her personal life the star has recently undergone a massive image overhaul after incredibly losing a whopping 12 stone.
Lisa opened up about her new body and admitted she actually wondered whether or not she should have bothered about putting all the hard work in because she thought that she looked worse than she did before.
“When I made the decision to lose weight, I never for one second imagined that I would end up looking like that,” she told The Mirror.
“It never occurred to me that the loose skin would be so bad.
“I thought, ‘Why on earth have I lost all this weight?’
“I looked worse than I did when I was obese. And it was the pain as well. The skin was flapping about and dragging.
“I felt like I had done so well losing the weight but I had ended up with the booby prize.
“I was revolted by my own image, it was rancid.
“I was used to seeing the obese Lisa reflection, but this saggy mess was new, it was painful and it was quashing the brilliance of what I had done.”
To overcome the situation Lisa bravely went under the knife to get rid off the excess skin.
The star also had a camera crew follow her journey for a new documentary.

Lisa explained: “I wanted to show the brutality of it. In life you can’t sympathise or have empathy with anybody unless you can see it.
“If I can help one person, and I know I have helped thousands, then for me it has been worthwhile.
“I used to tuck all the rolls of skin into my tights and underwear, I was very good at hiding it.”
She added: “I was determined to show the harsh reality of it. I used to say it ain’t over until the fat lady sings.
“Well I ain’t fat any more and I can sing for other people.”
