Awkward scenes over at Simon Cowell’s record label, as reports say an “extraordinary row” between Syco and Little Mix have caused them to quit just days before their new album is released.
The girl band – who won The X Factor in 2011 – are said to have confronted their boss over a “strongly worded” email, according to The Sun.
It followed reported frustrations over how Syco were handling the group, made up of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
It led to a wider argument with Little Mix’s management company Modest.
They will apparently no longer work with Syco, moving instead to Sony’s label RCA for the release of their fifth album, LM5.
A spokesman for music mogul Simon told The Sun: “Syco Music will no longer work with Modest Management and therefore any artists signed to that management company.
“We do, of course, wish all artists affected by this decision every future success. Consequently, LM5, the forthcoming Little Mix album A&R’d and released on Syco Music, is to be serviced by RCA at the request of Syco and Simon Cowell.”

The band’s latest single, Told You So was out yesterday.
But their 10.2million followers didn’t seem too concerned about them leaving the label, with one commenting: “Congrats for leaving SYCO 🙌.”
Another wrote: “I’m so proud of you girls. What you’ve achieved is phenomenal but we all know how much more you could do.”
A third despaired: “WHAT DID SYCO DO???”
