Jesy Nelson had to mute a video she posted on her Instagram Stories after it caused offence.
The offensive content came as the Little Mix star shared numerous video clips as she headed to a party in a car with friends on New Year’s Eve.
In one of the clips, a friend she was travelling with was heard saying the n word as Jesy panned the camera round on her.

The singer, 27, was berated for sharing the footage after she posted another snap from the journey showing off her new look.
“When you’re feeling your new hair cut. Thank you @reissalexander you little dream boat!” she wrote beside the picture.
Among the hundreds of comments praising Jesy’s look were those from fans appalled by her friend’s language in her Stories.

“Nice of you to film your white friend miming the N word in your story,” one sarcastically wrote.
“Ok but why did you record your friend saying the n word on your story?” said another.
“Hi, please control your musty white friend saying the n word,” wrote a third.

A fourth added: “Hey fav, you should probably delete the video of dilem saying the n word on your story. also, tell her it isn’t appropriate for her to say it!”
Jesy did not respond to the messages but the video was later muted so her friend could no longer be heard saying the n word.
It’s not the first time the popstar has caused controversy this year.
Earlier in December, she divided opinion by getting a gun tattooed onto her ribcage. Some said the inking of a weapon was inappropriate, especially as she is a role model to young fans.

She’s also been on the end of the wrath of Piers Morgan, who has criticised her and her bandmates for posing naked.
He said the image of the popstars covered in insults aimed at them over their career was not “empowering”.

Later in the day, Little Mix were asked if they were bothered by Piers’ comments during an interview on Radio 1, with Jesy laughing: “Of course not, he’s a silly [bleep].”
