Jennifer Ellison has revealed that she did not know who her biological father was until he sold a story on her.
The former Brookside star spilled all while appearing on the Thursday’s talk show Loose Women.
Jen claimed that she discovered who her real dad was while she was taking part in Hell’s Kitchen back in 2004.

The 33-year-old shocked the panel when she said that her and her sister only found out the truth when it was on the front of a newspaper.
Explaining what happened, she said: “First time I’d seen his face was when I won Hell’s Kitchen and he sold a story on me. Never knew him. Always knew in my heart my dad wasn’t my dad, but he was amazing.
“I’m not missing anything, my dad is incredible, my mum is incredible.”
She also recalled a time when she wondered what her real dad looked like.
“I remember asking Gran what he looked like? She said I got his eyes and his chin, so I’d look at people on street and ask ‘is that him?'”
The Phantom of the Opera actress continued: “It’s quite sad really, because another contact was through Liverpool local radio when my auntie got in touch. She said: ‘Your grand dad’s dying, dying wish is to see you’
“He was a stranger. If I hadn’t been well-known, and just won Hell’s Kitchen, would he have got in touch?” added the mum-of-three.
The dance school teacher also showed off her newly slimmed-down figure and has promised to stop with the fad diets.
The Liverpudlian spoke about her ordeal earlier this year when she needed medical attention after going on the Sugar-Free Farm reality show.

She said: “I got hit with the hardest withdrawal, as my sugar intake was the highest. I was picking carrots with Jane on the farm and every time I bent down I felt like someone was standing on my eyeballs. I felt physically sick.”
The stunning star has three boys, Bobby, 6, Harry, 3 and Charlie, 2 and is married to ex-boxer Robbie Tickle since 2009.
