Loose Women star Judi Love shares health battle

During an interview with The Mirror, Loose Women star Judi opened up about her 20-year battle with endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. It can cause severe pain on the pelvis and can make it harder to get pregnant.

Some of the symptoms according to the NHS include severe period pain, heavy periods and pain when going to the toilet.

Unfortunately, it is not known what causes endometriosis and there are currently no treatments that can cure it. It is only possible to manage the condition.

Judi was diagnosed with the condition 20 years ago – and she’s described it as being “unbearable” at times.

Judi talks endometriosis battle

Speaking this week, Judi said it took her five years to get her diagnosis.

“For women, our pain is often not always taken seriously, so symptoms are just put down to having ‘bad periods’. At the time, it wasn’t spoken about much, so when I received my diagnosis I honestly didn’t really know what it was, but the effect on my life, my physical and mental health, was sometimes unbearable,” she said.

Not having that pain recognised or acknowledged is really difficult.

The star then continued.

“I think it’s so important that people are starting to have more open conversations about endometriosis and the impact it can have, as well as pushing for diagnoses, because not having that pain recognised or acknowledged is really difficult,” she then said.

Loose Women star Judi Love on prioritising her well-being

The star then went on to say that in 2025, she’s going to be prioritising her health.

“I like to be active, I really enjoy boxing – it makes me feel good. One of my big mottos is ‘health is wealth’ – so that’s what I keep in mind when it comes to goals. It’s really worth investing the time in being active. It’s an ongoing thing for me which I work around my schedule, so my plan is to continue those habits for the rest of 2025,” she said.
