Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women are all cancelled tomorrow and will be replaced by coverage from the General Election results.

The shows will be taken off air to make way for “extended news coverage”.

Good Morning Britain, hosted by Piers and Susanna Reid, is still set to air and will be extending the show, from 6:00am to 9:25am, to bring all the latest news on the results.

Susanna announced the news on her Twitter writing: “Special, extended @gmb announced for General Election results coverage on Friday June 9.

“@piersmorgan and I will be at the desk 6-9.25am.”

Lorraine announced on Twitter that the show would not be aired Friday and will return as normal on Monday 12.

They wrote: “Thanks for watching! @piersmorgan and @susannareid100 are here tomorrow for a @GMB election special! Lorraine returns on Monday!”

This Morning shared a similar message following today’s show as they wrote: “That’s all for today! We’re not on air tomorrow because of @ITV’s election result programme but we’ll be back on Mon with a jam-packed show.”

Loose Women also announced their usual lunchtime slot will be replaced. They wrote: “There is no show tomorrow due to the election results – but we’ll be back on Monday!”

As you can imagine some fans aren’t happy.

One said: “@ITV why have you cancelled This Morning and Loose Women tomorrow can you put it on ITV2 change some programs please.”

“@itv I’m outraged that you cancelled This Morning and Loose Women for stupid election results, we got news channels that cover that,” another vented.

This isn’t the only time the ITV schedule has been switched up.

At the beginning of the week Lorraine was taken off air and Good Morning Britain was extended following the London Bridge terror attack.

Mum-of-two Susanna told viewers: “This is an especially extended edition of Good Morning Britain this morning.

“We are on until almost 9.30am with updates of what happened over the weekend and the last few hours.”
