Lorraine viewers left OUTRAGED after show cuts off mid-interview

Helen Skelton was interviewing Julie Hesmondhalgh about her new TV drama series

Lorraine viewers were NOT happy after Helen Skelton and Julie Hesmondhalgh were cut off mid-conversation.

Helen was standing in for Lorraine this morning and interviewing ex-Corrie star Julie about starring in Broadchurch series three.

In the upcoming series, Julie plays an “ordinary middle aged woman” called Trish Winterman who suffers a horrific attack.

But before the ladies could even open-up conversation about Julie’s former role in Corrie, they were abruptly cut off when the show came to a sudden end without any explanation.

Julie is best known for playing Hayley Cropper in the ITV soap, which she left in 2014 after 15 years.

Temporary host Helen didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to viewers or tease tomorrow’s show.

After the show ended it went straight to adverts and was then followed by Jeremy Kyle.

And, let’s just say, viewers were NOT impressed.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One said: “What is going on with #lorraine they keep cutting people off for ads and trailers.”

Another said: “Oh, well, bye then. #Lorraine.”

Whilst a third said: “@ITVLorraine @juliehes wow they proper cut u both off at the end. I thought the adverts were on but no it had finished.”

Helen Skelton and Christine Lampard are taking Lorraine’s place on the show for the next three weeks, while the regular host takes some time off.

But the presenter assured fans that the show will be well looked after while she’s gone.

She said: “I’m so excited for what will definitely be a trip of a lifetime and I feel very reassured to know that the show is in such safe hands while I’m away.

“I’ll be keeping in touch from Antarctica throughout my journey and I look forward to sharing my adventure with Lorraine viewers when I get back.”
