Louis Theroux shares alopecia update
In a post for his 1.1 million followers to see, Louis shared how his facial hair is doing amid his ongoing battle with alopecia.
He shared four selfies, from different angles, of his facial hair.
“Not only is my Alopecia maybe slightly improving – I have also found a solution to the problem of neck wrinkles. See if you can guess what it is!!!” he captioned the post.
“In picture four I’ve shared a glimpse of one of my alopecia patches – at the front of my scalp,” he then continued.
“The medical term is lesions. Not gonna lie – the goth in me is slightly enjoying the sudden appearance of patches and stripes of grey and white hair in my barnet. Google ‘Marie Antoinette Syndrome’ for more on the lineage of this.”
Fans show their support
Many a fan took to the comment section to send the 54-year-old their support.
“Still cool AF [love heart emoji] love ya,” one fan wrote.
“Perhaps call it ‘aLOUpecia’ to really own it? I’ll leave it with you x,” another joked.
“You’re looking bomb,” a third commented.
“Love you Louis for being an unapologetic yet slightly vain and relatable being,” another said.
“You still look [fire emoji],” a fifth gushed.

Louis Theroux considering tattooing his eyebrows on amid alopecia battle
Last November, Louis admitted that he was considering tattooing his eyebrows.
Taking to Instagram, he shared various snaps of him frowning and raising his eyebrows.
“I’d like to know how I’m supposed to continue a career based largely on raising and lowering different eyebrows without any eyebrows!” he wrote.
“Alopecia. I’m seriously thinking of getting them tattooed back on but it feels like a big step! Thoughts?” he then added.
“It’s not a big deal, but I don’t want people to think I’m doing something creative with my facial hair and doing it badly when it’s just what I look like when I don’t shave. This is also why I don’t wear a beard as much anymore. Maybe it’ll grow back. Who knows?” he then said.
