Former X Factor winner Louisa Johnson has parted ways with Simon Cowell’s record label.
The 20-year-old signed to Syco after winning X Factor’s twelfth series back in 2015 at just 17 years old; the youngest act to ever win the ITV talent show.
She released winner’s single, Forever Young, which peaked at number nine in the chart.
Her first post-X Factor track was So Good, which reached number 13, while other releases included the Clean Bandit collaboration, Tears, which hit number five.

A debut album has yet to be released.
Louisa has now confirmed she’s left Syco, claiming it was a “mutual” decision and she’s excited for the future.
Louisa told fans: “I’ve been working hard and I just wanted to let you all know that Syco Music and I have decided not to work together moving forward.
“It was genuinely a mutual decision and there are no hard feelings. Big thank you to Syco for everything they’ve done for me. I’ve had an actual blast!
“It’s been so much fun and I’ll always be grateful to Simon and the team for all their support.”
Louisa concluded by saying she’ll release a single with Ministry of Sound in August, pointing out it’s “still part of the Sony family.”

Fans were quick to wish Louisa well at her new label and assure her they can’t wait to hear new music.
One wrote: “Wish you all the luck Louisa, you’re incredible and I can’t wait to hear music from you when it’s all ready and the right time.”
Another said: “So glad you’ve found a new label, looking forward to your single next month and all the songs that follow afterwards .”
A third added: “Exciting times for you Louisa!! Can’t wait for the new song it’s been sooo long.”
Louisa recently spoke to Pop Justice about her career dreams, saying: “The message I want to get across to people is love yourself, be yourself and don’t change for anybody.

“As an artist I just want to be a big powerhouse and I want to make music that makes people feel amazing. I want to sell out arenas and stadiums.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen but as long as I’m happy and I’m making other people happy that’s all I care about.”
