It’s not been the happiest of years for Louise Redknapp, with reports claiming that she and her husband Jamie are set to divorce after 19 years of marriage.
But the former Strictly star, 43, appears to be putting her troubles behind her by diving headlong into a new project.
Except it’s not quite a ‘new’ project – the mum-of-two has decided to re-launch her pop career, and has announced that she’ll be returning to the stage for the first time in 15 YEARS.
Louise sprang to fame with Eternal in the early Nineties, enjoying a number of UK Top Ten hits with the girl group before leaving to go it alone in 1995.
However, shortly after recording her fourth solo album, she became pregnant with her and Jamie’s son Charley, and since then she’s concentrated on being a mum (the couple later had a second son, Beau).
However, now that her lads have grown up a bit, she’s evidently got a bit more time on her hands, and judging by her recent social-media activity, she’s thrilled to be back behind the microphone.
She’s been uploading reworked live versions of her old favourites to her YouTube channel – one of which, Naked, will be her new single. And she took to Twitter this week to remind her fans that she’s all set to make her concert comeback.

She enthused: “Only 3 weeks to go before my first live show in 15 years!!! At @UTBlondon [Under The Bridge] – who’s coming down?”
And by the sound of it, she hasn’t lost any of her old fanbase. One follower replied: “Me! Cannot wait! 15 years is a long ol time! Can’t wait to see you on stage singing your songs.”
Another added: “That voice. Still got it and sounding more authentic than ever, Lou. Everything’s gonna be fine.”
Louise and Jamie’s marital problems seemed to begin shortly after Louise appeared on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
She later revealed that fellow contestant Daisy Lowe had brought her out of her shell during their time together on the show.
Louise told Stella magazine: “She kept on at me to wear something sexy, and by week three I was in a leotard and tights not feeling self-conscious at all. I could feel myself changing week by week.

“Sometimes, I felt like crying because deep down inside me this voice was screaming: ‘This is what I’ve been missing!’”
Somehow, we reckon she’s going to enjoy getting back on that stage…
