Louise Redknapp has confessed why she has not reverted back to her maiden name, following her divorce from Jamie Redknapp.
Louise, whose maiden name is Nurding, explained her decision is down to how she feels about their children, Charley, 15, and ten-year-old Beau.
The 44-year-old opened up to reveal that the thought of having a different name to her boys makes her tearful.
When asked if she would drop ex-footballer Jamie’s name, Louise told The Guardian’s G2 Magazine: “Umm no. It’s such a Mum thing, but the thought of not having the same name as my kids, I could cry thinking about it.”
The former Eternal singer added that she may not be able to have her wish if her former husband was to get married again.
“But maybe if Jamie gets married I’d have to change it… I don’t know how that works,” she said.

Louise, who is currently starring in West End musical 9 to 5, went on to admit that she hasn’t been on a date in two years.
She and Jamie divorced in 2017 after 19 years of marriage, and months after her stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
Poor Lou joked that she felt “sad” for not revisiting the dating scene since becoming single.
She continued: “It’s really hard for women. I’m beginning to think I’m never going to meet anyone… I’ve not been out for a meal, just me and a guy in a restaurant, in two years. That makes me sound really sad, doesn’t it?”

She explained on Instagram: “Just to clear up the reports that are in the papers today! This lovely man is head of security at Soho House and kindly helped me out of the car with my bags and across some roadworks! For this to be portrayed as anything else is complete fabrication and nice gesture has been blown out of proportion.”
Louise added: “I would never normally comment on such a story but when it involves someone else and could hurt them, their family and friends as well as my own children I feel I need to do so.”
