It has been revealed that Love Island bosses scouted Olivia Attwood for Love Island and she was even lined up to appear in last year’s series.
According to the Daily Star, the gorgeous blonde was invited to audition by producers after they were on the hunt for sexy girls to join the show.
Olivia’s mum Jennifer has also admitted that the motorsport grid girl was asked to appear in the 2016 series but turned it down.

She said: “She was asked to appear on Love Island last year.
“But she was only six months after ending a long relationship and she wasn’t in the right frame of mind.
“I think that was the right decision. I think she wants a showbiz career and I think she’s well suited to it.”
The Star also reported that Jonny Mitchell was approached by agents after being spotted on Instagram.
Steve Ball, who was sent into the villa while the girls and boys had been split up, also revealed that he was handpicked while on holiday in Magaluf.
It also turns out that Liv is the third girl to be asked to be on the show.
Both Chloe Crowhurst and Camilla Thurlow told Mirror Online that they were contacted by PR companies and hadn’t ever thought about applying for the reality show.
Does this mean that the show is a complete fix?
Chloe, 22, who is dating TOWIE’s Jon Clark, said that she was “put forward” for the series.
It immediately appealed to her, and she said: “I meet so many pigs! I want to meet somebody nice. I think it’s a nice opportunity to go to the Island where you have no idea who’s in there and you have no choice but to get to know people and give them a chance.
“I mean, boys in Essex – come on! They’re not great. I want to be loved up but they’re just pigs. I’m ready and willing to meet someone nice. A lot of them just want about ten girlfriends at a time. Come on – you can’t go out with ten girls at once! That’s not on.”
Chloe had just split up from her on/off beau Jon right before entering the villa when she got a call. “I got contacted by a PR company, who put me forward just after we’d broken up. You’re not allowed to tell anyone. It has to be a big secret. I need to go and find some love,” the blonde TV star said.
Camilla on the other hand, said she wanted to be on the summer series because a lot of her friends are settling down.
The 27-year-old explosive ordnance disposal worker told the show: “I’m still young but I’m definitely at the age now where a lot of my friends are starting to settle down. I also want to put my personal life first, for the first time in a long time, and give myself the opportunity to meet someone.
“It will also force me to break down some of the barriers that I have built up doing the work that I do. I can be a bit cold, and come across that way, but that’s because I’m quite independent and strong.
“A huge part of it is pushing myself out of my comfort zone and forcing myself to make a connection with someone.”
She was unsure at first, but when asked about applying for the show, the Scottish sweetheart said: “I was approached and I thought, ‘Gosh, would I do that’, but when I was chatting to the team I was finding it more and more interesting.

“I was enjoying the process and I watched the show last year so I knew it was about having fun and finding romance so I liked the idea. It took me a couple of months to get my head around it.”
Love Island producers haven’t commented on the fix allegations, but a source told The Mirror Online: “We are very transparent about how we find people for the show and it’s not uncommon for us to encourage people to apply, but they do so off their own back and have the same interview process as everyone else.”
