Love Island fans were left devastated on Friday night as it was revealed Danny Dyer won’t be heading into the villa to reunite with his daughter, Dani.
At the end of last night’s episode, a teaser was shown for Sunday’s ‘Meet The Parents’ special in which the islanders’ loved ones head into the villa to meet their partners.
However, EastEnders actor Danny and his wife Joanne Mas appeared via video link rather than in person.

In the preview clip, Danny joked he was going to kill Dani’s boyfriend Jack Fincham.
Over the past few weeks, fans have been hoping to see Danny, who plays Mick Carter in the BBC soap, go into the villa to support his daughter and meet pen salesman Jack.
After seeing the preview for the next episode, fans are gutted Danny isn’t actually going into the villa.
One person wrote on Twitter: “@MrDDyer Danny why aren’t you going into @loveisland villa??? Totally gutted waited all series for this.”

Earlier this month, fans went wild after Danny was apparently spotted at an airport.
An Instagram account called LoveIslandReactions posted a fan photo apparently showing the actor queuing with his baggage.
They wrote: “Danny Dyer has been reportedly seen at a airport, we hope he’s going into the villa!”
Meanwhile this month, Dani’s mum Joanne said Danny would make a cameo on the ITV2 programme if asked.
When asked if Danny would be entering the villa, Jo told This Morning: “Yeah. He would do a cameo on that show – he’d love that.”
Danny’s daughter Dani, 22, has been a show favourite from day one, thanks to her down-to-earth, sweet personality and adorable love story with Jack.
During Thursday night’s episode of the reality show, Dani and Jack agreed they would move in together once they leave the villa!
Jack replied: “I have never loved anyone like this before.
“You are that girl who has changed me. I have got something I want to ask you. It’s the next logical step for us.
