Cara de la Hoyde and Nathan Massey were supposed to be the reality couple everyone could trust to stay real and stay together but that was rocked earlier this year when they split.
Fans were gutted because the pair seemed truly in love, but it seemed it wasn’t to be.
Now though, Cara has been on This Morning and told Holly and Phil that she still hopes there’s a chance she and Nathan can get back together for the sake of their baby.
Cara announced she was pregnant only a few short weeks after they split.
It was a shock given they’d previously revealed in an interview with Andy West on behalf of Entertainment Daily that they weren’t planning to start a family but they would be together forever.
In the video Nathan is asked whether they had discussed babies and he said: “er…yeah she loves babies but er…another couple of years…I’m still a massive kid myself.”
Meanwhile, Cara said she would consider having babies in “four years’ time.”
Best laid plans and all that. Even so, Cara has now hinted there may be a reconciliation on the horizon.
When Holly asked if she’d like to be with him again, Cara replied: “Of course!
“It would be lovely to have a little family.”
The star said they split because they moved too fast and rushed into living together.
She said: “Looking back on it now, my main bit of advice for everyone when they come out together is don’t rush things because you think you know each other so well and we jumped in head first, lived together…
“We’ve still got so much love for each other but everything happened so quickly and I think it ruined it.”
Phil said maybe they could have followed a more traditional route and Cara agreed: “I think that would’ve saved us.
“If we moved in a lot later… it was too much.”
The pregnant star recently posted a scan pic for fans to see.
She told her 693k insta followers: “Last year I won @loveisland with an amazing person and although things may not be quite where we imagined them to be, we have been given the greatest gift we could have ever won.”
Cara also teased that she may have landed a permanent role on TOWIE, admitting it’d be great to have a yummy mummy on the show.
