Former Love Island star Montana Brown has revealed her extreme weight loss after appearing on Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
The 22-year-old appeared on the latest series of the tough Channel 4 survival show but quit half-way through filming.
Montana took to Instagram to share two candid naked photos to demonstrate just how difficult the programme really is and shatter any illusion the tough conditions faced by the stars are purely for the cameras.
She posted the images to hit back at recent criticism she’d become too “skinny”, saying her huge weight loss was due to Celebrity Island and not intentional.
“Bear Grylls The Island…what an absolutely pleasure it was to be on that show, thanks Channel 4. It was definitely the hardest experience of my life but I’m so glad I was in there with such an amazing group of people,” she wrote.
“So for all of you that were like ‘eurgh you look so skinny yuck!’ a few months back… it’s because my belly was full of limpet [bleep] and that was probably about it so…. And also I lasted half way (not 3 days thank you…).”
The latter part of her message was hitting back at claims she quit Celebrity Island just a few days after arriving.
Meanwhile, Montana also used her Instagram posts to thank everyone involved with Celebrity Island including her castmates.

“Thanks to everyone who was on that experience with me. You will always be so special to me as you all looked after me so much, so thank you,” she wrote.
Among those who got a shout out were TOWIE’s Pete Wicks, who she called a “gem” and Martin Kemp, who Montana described as the “dad of the group”.
She added to Martin: “Thanks… for always approaching everything so calmly, you may be the nicest man alive. Miss u all.”
Celebrity Island is billed as one of the toughest reality shows around, challenging celebrities to endure four weeks on a remote and uninhabited island.
They have no phones, no luxuries, no electricity, just basic tools and medical supplies. The group have to use their initiative to find food, replenish their water supply and survive on the island.

Montana took part this year alongside Pete, Martin, Julia Roberts’ actor brother Eric, Olympic rower James Cracknell, model Jo Wood, journalist Paris Lees, TV doctor Dr Saleyha Ahsan and Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo.
Celebrity Big Brother’s Roxanne Pallett also took part but quit soon after arriving.
