Love Island contestant Laura Crane has been hospitalised with sepsis, according to a report.
The reality star and surfer was admitted with the condition – which can be life threatening – earlier this week on Tuesday.
A representative for Laura is said to have admitted the past few days have been a “scary time” for the 23-year-old model and her family.
“Laura is sadly quite unwell,” they are reported to have told the Sun, adding Laura was “rushed” to hospital.

Revealing the diagnosis, they continued: “It’s taking time to control her temperature and rid her blood of the infection, but it had spread quite rapidly.
“A scary time for her and her family but we’re praying she makes a full recovery in the next couple of days.”
Laura has kept her social media fans updated by posting Instagram Stories clips as she recovers.
She asked her 614,000 followers on the social media site: “Pray I go home tomorrow.”

Other clips showed Laura resting up in her hospital bed and sharing a meal on the ward with her mum.
Thanking fans for their best wishes, she typed: “Health is wealth, people.”
And just a few hours ago, she also shared a thoughtful snap of herself looking out to the horizon on the sea.
“If there is ever a place I belong… it’s here, watching the sun melt in to the ocean,” she captioned the pic.

Laura and her Love Island partner Jack Fowler split in September, just a couple of months after the most recent series ended in the summer.
The pair claimed in an interview their schedules were getting in the way of their relationship.
The TV couple also said they each valued the time they spent together and would continue to be friends.
“Sadly Jack and I have both decided to go our separate ways due to such busy schedules right now and not having the time to spend together,” she said at the time.
“Feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life.
“We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.”
ED! has approached a representative for Laura for further comment.
