Love Island winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies are among a number of reality stars to have paid tribute to Mike Thalassitis, who has died aged 26.
Alongside a broken heart emoji, Kem wrote: “Such heartbreaking news. My thoughts go out to all of Mike’s friends and family.”
Amber added in her own post: “I am in utter shock. @MikeThalassitis you were one of the most genuine guy! I just can’t believe this! You’ll be missed so much you have no idea”.
Former TV rival Chris Hughes sensitively urged people to call Mike by his full name, rather than by his ‘Muggy’ nickname.

He tweeted: “His name wasn’t Muggy Mike. Please stop brandishing that. His name was Mike Thalassitis, and every inch of my heart goes out to his family & friends. A good guy, taken far, far too soon.”
Olivia Buckland echoed the same thought, tweeting: “His name is Mike Thalassitis. All the articles how dare you not use his real name. This is horrendous. I’m in shock. Mike you are going to be sorely sorely missed. My heart is with your family. I’m in complete shock.”
Tyla Carr, who had a short romance with Mike during the ITV2 dating show, also remembered her friend on social media.
She shared: “I can’t believe the call I’ve just had. Mike, you were loved by all of the Love island family. You’ll be missed so much. All my love goes out to your friends and family. Shocked.”

Dom Lever, who also appeared on the dating show, wrote: “I’m shocked at the news!! me and @MikeThalassitis may not have seen eye to eye but he was a top guy.”
Jessica Shears added: “In complete shock, was lucky enough to get to know Mike, he was the loveliest guy. My heart breaks for his family.”
Stars from other series of Love Island also mentioned the semi-professional footballer fondly.

Before he found fame in reality TV, Mike played football for Chelmsford City and Stevenage FC.
They wrote: “Everybody at @StevenageFC is shocked & saddened to hear the tragic news about former player Michael Thalassitis. Our sincerest condolences go to his family & friends.”
