Love Island star Chris Hughes has revealed plans to try to join Coronation Street.
The reality star has tried his hand from everything from rapping to writing since leaving the ITV2 villa.
But now it seems he has set his sights on appearing on the nation’s favourite television show.
He told BANG! Showbiz: “I feel like I’ve gained a lot of experience in front of the camera already.
“I wouldn’t mind being on Coronation Street, I watch it religiously, my mum is a big Corrie fan as well.”

Admitting that he would struggle to put on a northern accent, the star already has plans about who he could play.
And he definitely doesn’t want to be the next Pat Phelan.
He added: “I wouldn’t like to be a villain. That’s because I’m just not really a villain, I’m just too nice for that.”
Reality stars have a history of appearing in soaps with one of Corrie’s biggest stars beginning her career there.
Kym Marsh first found fame on Popstars as part of manufactured band Hear’Say.
Years later she turned her hand to acting and joined the ITV soap as a pub singer who caught the eye of Steve McDonald.

And Kym’s not the only one.
X Factor winner Shayne Ward won rave reviews for his performance of Aidan Connor in his depression storyline, so perhaps Chris walking the cobbles isn’t such a far-fetched idea?
