He spent a lot of time in the Love Island villa talking about his duties in A&E, but Dr Alex George could be turning his back on the NHS.
Speaking on Tuesday’s This Morning, the star admitted: “I would love to do TV doctor work.”
He added: “I would love to make it accessible to everyone.”
Speaking to presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Alex, 27, admitted he would rather not go down the usual reality star route of doing club appearances and endorsement deals.
The married hosts revealed their viewer poll agreed with that decision.
In fact, 97% of the 6,000 people who voted said he shouldn’t become a reality star.
Fans watching from home speculated that Alex was angling for a job on that very sofa.
One wrote: “Anyone else think Dr Alex will end up with a regular spot on This Morning? Something like “Ask The Love Doctor”? #LoveIsland”.
Another tweeted: “Watch out Dr Ranj & Dr Chris… they’ll replace you with Dr Alex #ThisMorning”.
A third added: “You’re a natural in front of camera Alex, if Dr Chris is looking for someone to take over at some point, You would be perfect! 👏👍”.

Dr Alex was a divisive figure on this year’s series.
In fact, he was even the subject of an Ofcom complaint thanks to his treatment of partner Alexandra Cane.
Describing their night together in the hideaway, Alexandra, 27, told the female contestants: “He grabbed my hand, opened his shorts and…”
She then demonstrated how he had made her touch him, before adding: “I didn’t stay down there very long.”
“It all happened very fast but it did happen.”
She was laughing in the clip, but many were clearly not amused.
Fans of the show watching from home didn’t seem impressed by the incident, with one tweeting: “Anyone fancy getting together for group therapy to try and get over our collective trauma at Alex’ penis being mentioned? #loveisland”.

We think he could make a great TV presenter – but we don’t want to lose Dr Ranj or Dr Chris. Maybe there’s space on the BBC?
