Love Island’s Laura Anderson was left red-faced during a conversation about weddings while meeting Paul Knops’ family for the first time on Sunday night’s episode.
The couple were getting to know each other’s loved ones when the conversation quickly turned to Laura and Paul’s romantic date overlooking the sea from Friday.
But things became slightly awkward when Laura and her sister Danielle got the wrong end of the stick during the chat.

Paul’s sister Sophia asked the couple all about their date.
Paul described the setting as an ideal “wedding venue” to his sister, saying: “There you go, wedding venue.”
Overhearing Paul’s remark, Laura’s sister Danielle interrupted: “Calm down!” to which Laura replied: “Don’t say that to Paul, he’ll freak out.”
However, Laura and Danielle didn’t quite understand Paul’s comment and he had to clarify what he actually meant.
He said: “I actually meant my sister’s wedding, because she’s getting married.”
Trying to escape her embarrassment, Laura jumped out of her seat and jokingly walked off.
Viewers were in hysterics over Laura’s blunder.
One person said: “OMG LAURA & THE WEDDING COMMENT,” while another tweeted: “That was so awkward. Steady on Laura he meant his sisters wedding.”
Meanwhile, the awkwardness didn’t stop there as Laura’s dad David asked the couple when they are going to make their relationship official.
He said: “Older people, we don’t understand something about life and growing up.
“When you go with someone and spend all your time with them, are you not meant to ask them out to be boyfriend and girlfriend? I don’t get this.”
Laura told the Beach Hut: “My dad was trying to get Paul to ask me to be his girlfriend, I was like ‘dad’!”
Reflecting on meeting Paul’s family and Paul meeting hers, Laura added: “I’m honestly so happy to see my family and it was lovely to meet Paul’s as well.
“My dad and sister are just happy for me because it’s a big thing for especially my sister to say that she likes a boy that I’m dating.
“She doesn’t like anyone that I’ve dated really to be honest.”

Paul also told the Beach Hut: “There’s just so many nice things [my family] have to say about [Laura] and they know that for me to have met someone in the villa, she would have been the right one.”
The Love Island finale airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
