Happy Lucy Mecklenburgh has revealed her low profile relationship with former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas is unlike any other she’s had before, admitting: “It’s just easy.”
The ex TOWIE star has been with Ryan, 33, for over a year after they met during the filming of Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls
And despite having over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and another 1.6 million on Twitter, the reality star and her soap beau prefer to keep their personal life off social media for the most part – only occasionally posting a snap of themselves together.

They’ve both stayed relatively tight-lipped in interviews, too.
But now Lucy, 26, has explained why keeping their love life low key has helped make it work.
Thrilled to be “in a great place”, Lucy told Fabulous magazine that keeping things private “felt very natural” for them, although she appreciated that was quite ironic as they met on a TV show.

“It’s about growing up, I think. We’ve both had public relationships, and there’s less pressure when we have things in our life that are private.
“It feels more special.”
Lucy previously romanced TOWIE co-star Mario Falcone, while Ryan shares a daughter, Scarlett, with his former Corrie co-star Tina O’Brien.
Fitness guru Lucy also said she had no regrets about signing up for the gruelling Channel 4 survival show, despite losing two stone in just four weeks of filming.
Highlighting how she came to realise more about Ryan’s caring nature as he looked after her and the other celebrities taking part, Lucy indicated the discomfort she suffered was all worth it.
“I call Ryan my lovely extra bonus,” she added.
Ryan, meanwhile, has been equally reluctant to talk about Lucy in interviews.
In an interview with Now magazine in February, he said: “It’s so difficult because every time someone asks me about a relationship it takes away from what I’m trying to do.
“I’d love to sit here and talk about Lucy all day long, but it takes away from what I’m doing.
“I’ll happily have a drink with you and talk about it all day long, but not today!”
