Binky Felstead has spoken out about having a cancer scare at the age of 23.
On Thursday’s Loose Women, the Made In Chelsea star told the panel how doctors found abnormal cells during a smear test.
She told hosts Ruth Langsford, Anne Diamond, Saira Khan and Nadia Sawalha: “I was complaining of a tummy pain. My mother is so on it, and she was like, ‘Right we’ve got to get you a test.’
“So my mother took me, and [the results] came back with grade three, which is the highest level. So that was quite scary… I was so upset.”

Binky, now 27, revealed that she then had to undergo an operation.
She explained: “I had part of my cervix removed. I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to have a family. And if anyone knows me, they know it’s all I ever wanted, was to have a family.
“When they were doing the small operation, I was holding [my mum’s] hand and crying. It’s a scary thing to go and do. It’s intimidating. But honestly, if I hadn’t done that…”
Now the 27-year-old mum to daughter India, seven months, is campaigning for the NHS to lower screening ages. Currently women are not offered smear tests until they’re 25, which could’ve been too late for Binky.
She added: “I’ve spoken to friends who don’t even know what a smear test is. It’s so important to get it done.”
The Born in Chelsea star also talked about how much she is enjoying being a mum.
She told Ruth, 57: “I thought [motherhood] was going to be a lot worse. I’d had people tell me you never sleep, never have a shower, never have time to brush your teeth. But I am showering every morning! I promise!
“I spend all my time just staring at her. It does get better and better. She’s now smiling and giggling.”
Binky has been dating India’s dad, Josh, ‘JP’ Patterson on and off since November 2015, after meeting on the set of Made In Chelsea.

And on Thursday’s Loose Women, she confirmed that they’re very much on these days, adding: “We got back together because we love each other.”
She also praised JP for his dad skills, saying: “He’s a very good daddy. He’s very good at changing pooey nappies.”
How, er, romantic?
