Madonna gave a powerful Eurovision performance that divided viewers at the weekend, but now she appears to have hit back at the criticism.
The 60-year-old Queen of Pop shared a message with fans on her Instagram Stories following the show.
She reposted a quote that spoke on the difficulty of avoiding “criticism” in life.
The quote read: “There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing say nothing and be nothing.”
Madonna’s post came hours after she took to the stage in Tel Aviv to perform her 80s hit Like A Prayer.
She was then joined by artist Quavo for her new song, Future, from her upcoming album Madame X.
The extravagant performance saw the star navigate her way down a huge staircase in a long black cape as she sang.
She was also joined by backing singers dressed as monks.
Some viewers of Eurovision criticised her singing, complaining it was off-key.

However, others praised Madonna’s bold performance and the political statement she made during the show.
Part of her set included two dancers, one with the Palestinian flag on their back and the other with the Israeli flag, who walked along arm in arm.
The legendary star also said she was grateful for the platform she was given at the contest.
She wrote on Instagram: “Madame ❌ is a freedom fighter…………….I am grateful. For the opportunity to spread the message of peace and unity with the world. 🌏🌍🌎. #future #madamex #eurovision @quavohuncho. (sic)”

Eurovision organisers claimed the political statement had not been approved – and had not been part of a previous rehearsal.
“Two of Madonna’s dancers briefly displayed the Israeli and Palestinian flags on the back of their outfits,” they said.
“This element of the performance was not part of the rehearsals which had been cleared. The Eurovision Song Contest is a non-political event and Madonna had been made aware of this.”
