A man has been re-arrested following the death of John Michie’s daughter at the Bestival music festival last year.
The Holby City actor, who also appeared in Coronation Street, was left heartbroken in September 2017 when his beloved Louella, 25, was found dead at the Dorset festival site.
She was discovered in a wooded area on the edge of the site at Lulworth Castle.
Dorset Police announced on Thursday that detectives investigating her death have re-arrested a man.
Senior Investigating Officer Neil Devoto, of Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Detectives have today, Thursday 22 February 2018, re-arrested a man at an address in Enfield in London on suspicion of manslaughter and drug supply offences.
“He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
“Louella’s family has been updated with this development.”
An initial post-mortem found no clear signs of assault. Further tests, including toxicology tests, have also been carried out.
In a statement back in September, a rep for Michie said: “Sadly, I can confirm the tragic death of John Michie’s daughter Louella at Bestival.
“John and his wife Carol ask that the privacy of their family be respected at this traumatic time.”
Michie later told The Sun that his family have “lost an angel”.
He added: “She touched so many lives. She was so very positive, so bright, so out there. She had such energy. The tributes to her have been incredible.”
Michie starred in Coronation Street as Karl Munro from 2011 to 2013. He is also known for his role in Taggart, and for playing CEO Guy Self in Holby City.
