The former TOWIE star took to Twitter to announce the news.
He wrote: “After an extremely hard decision. I have decided to leave the show THE DENGINEERS I have been hosting for the last 2 years.
“Amazing time doing this show and met so many amazing people on my journey.
“Ill continue watching the show I am so proud of [sic].”
The TV series saw Mark alongside co-host Lauren Layfield get the help of experts to design dream dens for children.
And the star’s three million Twitter followers weren’t happy with the news.
One replied: “Noooo mark! My kids talk about the programme and you all the time!”
Another said: “Sad to see you leave! You’ve done an amazing job for such wonderful people One journey ends, another one begins…always supporting you.”

Despite only just announcing the news the show’s bosses have already found Mark’s replacement.
Former Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini, who played Dennis Savage in the soap, will take over presenting duties.
Speaking about joining the Dengineers team Joe revealed: “I’m excited about travelling the country, meeting the deserving kids and their families and building some amazing dens.”
But it looks like Mark, who is married to actress Michelle Keegan, could be turning his back on showbiz for good and taking to the football pitch instead.
The star was in talks to take a 20 per cent stake in his local club, Billericay Town FC.
A source told The Sun: “Mark has always loved football and is known for being a talented player, but obviously he never quite made it to the big time.
“He sees this as a great way to get involved with the sport and hopes to make a real impact.”
