Sean Tully will be walking the cobbles for a bit longer in Coronation Street.
The marmite soap star has revealed he has signed a brand new contract, giving him another year on the show.
And he’s not just going to be babysitting or pulling pints behind the Rovers Return bar, the actor has teased a juicy new storyline for Sean.
He told the Mirror: “I’m doing the beginnings at the moment. It’s very, very new and very different.”
Sean arrived in Weatherfield in 2003 with Antony on an initial three-month contract.

But after bosses saw the impact he had made, Antony was quickly signed up for a full-time contract.
The current signing will take him through to his 16th year on the show.
He has lived with a variety of other characters including Fiz Brown, Norris Cole and, most memorably, Eileen Grimshaw.
And Antony has revealed how fans approach him in the street to ask where she is.
He added: “I’m often asked where Eileen is. It takes a shorter time to pretend it’s real than to explain I don’t really know because I don’t live with her in real life.

“I just go, ‘She’s at the bingo’. They say, ‘All right, give her my love’ and I go, ‘Will do’.”
The actor stunned fans on the revival of Dancing on Ice earlier this year when he came sixth.
