Martin Kemp has apologised to his followers on Twitter after he pulled out of two shows due to sickness.
The Spandau Ballet star regularly performs his Back to the 80s DJ set at venues up and down the country. But, this weekend, Martin sparked fears among fans after he cancelled two shows, saying he was left with no other choice.

Posting on social media yesterday (April 19), Martin sent huge apologies to fans who’d bought tickets and explained that the shows would be rescheduled.

“My apologies,” the post started. “I’m really sorry to say but I’m going to have to pull out of my show tonight and tomorrow night due to sickness.”
Martin added: “This is a last resort and not a decision I took lightly. Hope to see you all again in the near future.”

Fans, naturally, understood and soon rallied round with their get well wishes.
“Health comes first, take care and get well soon,” said one concerned fan. “Hope you’re feeling better very soon,” said another. “Hope you’re okay,” another worried fan said.
“Hope you are feeling better soon. Lots of TLC from Shirlie should help,” said another. “So sorry to hear you are sick Martin, wishing you a speedy recovery,” another commented.

Martin appeared to suggest he’ll recover from his mystery illness pretty quickly, though.
He captioned the social media post with another apology and said he reckons that he’ll be back “next weekend”.
“Ah … so sorry about this guys!! First one in a year!! Back on it next weekend!!” he said.
