Matt Dawson has announced he’s split from his wife Carolin after 11 years together.
The former England rugby legend and Strictly Come Dancing contestant, 47, revealed the heartbreaking news on social media.
We know this will be a surprise to most but after 11 years together Carolin and I have decided our relationship needs a new direction, bringing our marriage to an end. The love for our beautiful boys grows stronger day by day as does our friendship as co-parents.

What did Matt Dawson say about his split from his wife?
Matt took to Twitter to tell fans the news.
“We know this will be a surprise to most but after 11 years together Carolin and I have decided our relationship needs a new direction, bringing our marriage to an end,” he said.
“The love for our beautiful boys grows stronger day by day as does our friendship as co-parents.”

Matt, who shares two boys with Carolin, went on to say: “To our dear friends please continue to support us as positively as you can for the next stage of our lives.
“It’s vital that Alex and Sami understand that we will always be a united family.”
How did Matt Dawson’s followers respond?
Almost immediately, many of Matt’s 258,000 followers stepped up to send support.
“Ah babes, sorry to hear this but if it’s what you both want & need then good luck to both of you,” one fan said.

Matt’s news comes after he was axed from BBC One quiz show A Question Of Sport.
The channel confirmed that host Sue Barker, Matt and fellow team captain Phil Tufnell had been let go.
In a statement it said: “We would like to thank Sue for her enormous contribution as the show’s longest-reigning host over the last 23 years.

“And Matt and Phil for their excellent team captaincy over 16 and 12 years respectively.
