Matt Evers reveals his fear for Gemma Collins after her nasty DOI fall

Gemma fell face-first onto the ice last month

Matt Evers has revealed he feared for his Dancing On Ice’s Gemma Collins after she fell face-first onto the ice.

The pair were eliminated from the competition earlier this month after receiving a mediocre score for their performance.

During their time on the show, Gemma made headlines after taking a stumble on the ice during a routine.

In a clip shared to the show’s official Twitter page, Matt said he worried Gemma had “smacked her face” when she fell.

He said: “It shocked me because I thought when she hit the ice, she may have smacked her face because she just lied there, still.

“There was no movement after she fell. In that moment, I thought ‘oh no, there’s something serious here.'”

He added: “But she bounced back and she carried on. She brought herself back to life.”

Meanwhile, Matt teared up in the video as he revealed how Dancing On Ice has changed his life for the better.

The professional skater, who has been doing the show for 15 years, said he wouldn’t know what to do without the show.

Matt said him starring on the show has changed his and his family’s lives drastically.

When asked what makes the show so special to him, Matt said: “Dancing On Ice has been a part of my… oh I’m going to get emotional,” as he struggled to compose him.

As he became choked up, Matt continued: “It’s been a part of my life for 15 years now and it’s changed my life, it’s changed my family’s lives.

“This show has allowed me to help my family financially. I don’t know what I would do without it.

“I’m so very grateful to the network and Jayne [Torvill] and Chris [Dean] and to the producers to continually get asked back to do the show.

“For me, it’s more than just ice-skating. It’s a passion of mine.”
